My duties were as follows:

  • Creation of the basic and detailed concept, which includes the design of the story, the levels and the gameplay.
  • Writing text for puzzles and story pages.
  • Konzeption von 5 Rätseln, die in diesem Buch gelöst werden können.
  • Verteilen von Aufgaben an meine Kollegen/innen, so wie Kommunikation der kreativen Vision des Projektes.
  • Documentation of game-design.
  • Create and maintain a spreadsheet for external and internal communication. Like our illustrator or customers.
  • Consideration and implementation of feedback from the publisher or testers.

This puzzle game even features an open world. Players can move freely around the map, where every location is connected to a page in the book. With player progress, new areas get unlocked and written onto the map as well. To progress through the game, players can interact with different characters, find objects and gadgets to cut out and use, to open up new areas or unlock new puzzles to solve. This book also features a second XXL-Map that can be built into a big interactive time machine puzzle to navigate through time and space.

The solution to every puzzle consists of a three-digit number. With the code matrix, the players can check if they found the right answer. If their number is the correct one, the code matrix will lead the payers to a clue which describes the action that is happening through the solve and sends them to a new site or object that they have unlocked by solving the puzzle.

This interactive book plays like a real Escape Room. For the greatest game and puzzle enjoyment, you will glue, cut and write on it. Not only will you have an XXL mystery map at your disposal, but also a new, puzzling XXL game map as well as the latest, perfected game system.
